Ruby Tuesday - The CSUC Rose Garden

This weekend, the kids, my mom, and I took a walk through the California State University Chico Rose Garden. It's gorgeous. Here's a bit of the red we saw............. This view shows the Bell Tower in the background - the setting sun is hiding it in a glow.
These are some seriously mature Rose bushes and many of them have some pretty gnarly thorns. I love visiting the gardens and if you are ever in town, I suggest you check them out, but don't pick any - there's a steep fine for pickers.
For more Ruby Tuesday photos, take a look at the list located at the creator of Ruby Tuesday, The Teach's Work of the Poet.

These roses are wonderful. Oh, how I'd love to be there to take in the aroma!

They're spectacular. I assume you mean there's a steep fine for picking the roses, not...

Thanks for all the nice comments.

The header - it's my nephew, Chance, enjoying a Summer day at the creek.

The fine is for picking noses, not sure if they fine for picking anything else. ;D

The light was lovely that evening, the campus is very pretty, with a creek rolling through it. Parts of Robin Hood, with Errol Flynn, were filmed in the neighborhod.

Another interesting thing about the roses - they are no true white roses. They all have some other hue to them - yellow, pink, blue, ect.
