I got a new camera!!! It's a Canon Rebel XS. Now I can take pictures bigger than a 5x7. Yay!!!
I haven't had much of a chance to do anything with it, but I did grab a couple shots this afternoon in between errands. The wind was really blowing, so hard to get the flowers.

Tomorrow, I will make time to get to know it a bit more. I'm very excited, but also a bit sick to my stomach which is my usual reaction to a big purchase. I keep telling myself that this will help me with taking family portraits - after all, people want actual 8x10s of their families.... and yeah, I did get it for 30% off because Circuit City is closing (so sad that is, I love that store)....still. ....
My tax return is here..........then it's gone. Every time.
But I am certain that I will love this camera............although I did notice that the focus doesn't feel as smooth as it did on my Nikon.

Now that is exciting and I look forward to seeing the photos. I was like a little kid with my new Canon..
Pretty pictures. Also, I have one of your photos hanging in my cube at work, and one of my coworkers really liked it. So I told her about your photography business. She said if you have any pictures of blue flowers, she'd be interested. Let me know!
Congrats on the new camera, I think as a mom that supports her family it is a common sickness when we purchase something. Wishing you lots of luck with this one. :)
The Canon feels so differnt to me. The focus feels different and it's a little bit lighter in my hands.
Heather, thanks for telling me that. I will take some blue flower photos. I wonder if it's too early to find something at the farmer's market.
Thanks Eliza. I get so stressed out about big purchases.
