Ruby Tuesday - Sarah Swings

Here's my Ruby Tuesday offering. It's Sarah at the school carnival. I have mixed feelings about this piece of playground equipment. It's fun for the kids who are tall enough, but put a shortie on there and it gets dangerous. Today one student ran into another and a boy got the wind knocked out of him. He was so mad. It's a joyous photo. Your tale about the dangerous of playground equipment was not as much fun. Sigh.

Nice photo.
Personally, I don't think you can save kids from every kind of danger. Daredevil kids will FIND danger. At least this is in a place where help can be found quickly. Just my 2 cents.

We have the same piece of equipment and will be taking it down during playground renovations. We had a student fall off and break an arm!

We had a student break their arm a couple of weeks ago. He didn't fall off this piece of equipment. He fell off the bars to the left of Sarah. It was very scary - his arm was like a noodle. He was very brave.

I think that we need wood chips in this area, not gravel.
